Albert J. Vitali III, ESQ.

Albert J. Vitali III is a Rhode Island DUI and Criminal Defense Lawyer who concentrates his legal practice in the areas of Criminal Defense and RI DUI Defense. Mr. Vitali received his B.A. from the University of Rhode Island, and his J.D. from University of Massachusetts School of Law. He is a member of the Rhode Island Bar, the Massachusetts Bar, and the Florida Bar.

Albert proud to have joined The Law Office of Chad F Bank after having served as a Rhode Island Special Assistant Attorney General from 2016 – 2019. In his capacity as a Special Assistant, Albert has prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases all across the State. Having litigated a multitude of matters at the direction of the Attorney General, Albert has an exclusive understanding of how the criminal process works.

During his time as a State Prosecutor, Albert tried a myriad of cases and represented the Department at countless hearings at all levels of court, across all counties in the State. Notably during his tenure, Albert was given the honor of being appointed to prosecute all Chemical Test Refusal cases in the State. Aside from Driving Under the Influence matters at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal, Albert also practiced in the District Court, Family Court, and Superior Court where he attained the respect of his colleagues and adversaries alike. While assigned to the Department’s Juvenile Unit, Albert was tasked with the goal of rehabilitating offending children while also protecting the security of the community-at-large. He is responsible for the prosecution and ultimate certification of the juvenile responsible for the Garrahy Courthouse gang-related shooting of September 2017.

Albert has received firearms familiarity training at local municipal police departments, as well as specialized ATF firearms training at the Rhode Island State Police Training Academy. Further, Albert was chosen to represent the Department at The New England Gang School’s “Street Crimes and Gang Investigator School”; a first-class, week-long instruction taught by officers of the Boston Police Department and available only to law enforcement personnel. Albert now combines that law enforcement training with his wealth of courtroom experience to formulate a winning game plan for his clients. By using an analytical, compassionate, and professional approach, Albert gets the very best result for each one of his clients.
